What is it Really? and how does it fit into the ancient Egyptian belief system?

The Great Ennead is also known as the Nine-Gods, this is one of the creation myths of the cosmos, that which was before man and animals.

These gods and goddess changed from priesthood to priesthood, but always containing certain creator gods.

No matter which time we pick, their belief of the creation of the cosmos, still remains a fact.

You might be more familiar with the creation myths of the Macedonians/Greeks, which is most fitting, as they followed the ancient Egyptians ideas, which is clearly evident with Ptolemy's family line.

In this family line of creation gods we find:

Ra/Atum = Sun

Shu = Air

Tefnut = Mist/moist

Geb = Earth

Nut = the Sky

These are the top five Gods, and they are interesting when we dig a little deeper into them.

Do You spot the elements? :)

The Sun is a firy planet, with fire bursting out of it.

Mist and Moist have one very vital common factor, namely that they both contain water.

We also have to bear in mind that we are speaking about a desert land, so there was not that many rains falls, hereby making it very facinating that they picked Moist/mist, which they do have in the morning winter hours.

But we see Nut connected to the elements themselves, this also correcsponds to the relaity that the elements and sky/weather are connected.

But we are actually given more detail, becuase of the above hiraryky we see that it is the elements that affects the sky, we can conclude this, because Nut is placed beneath the other creator gods.
